19These works are the outcome of spending time in New Zealand’s largest inland area, the McKenzie Basin. This beautiful, special area has recently been declared a world heritage area for the staggering night sky views one can see.

My partner Jenny and I gave these works a great deal of consideration and care in their design and finish. They (purposely) suggest an intimate closeness to nature. My attachment to these forms is one of embracing them and in their closeness, becoming one with them.

The bird forms are very eloquent. They are bound in a natural and spiritual coexistence with the forms below them.
